Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by Medpool Ltd during the financial year 2025/2026 to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chains.
While Medpool Ltd is not required under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to publish a Modern Slavery statement, by doing so below we publicly commit ourselves to the principles enshrined in the Act.
Our Social Responsibility Commitment
Medpool Ltd recognises its social responsibility to act — not merely to comply. The Modern Slavery Act 2015 establishes a minimum legal standard, and we are committed to meeting and exceeding it in a manner that reflects genuine organisational commitment to human dignity and ethical business conduct.
We acknowledge that, as a distribution company operating in global commodity supply chains, we are not isolated from the environments in which modern slavery and human trafficking most commonly occur. Base oil extraction, chemical additive manufacturing, packaging production and logistics operations — all of which feature in our supply chain — are sectors and geographies where exploitation can be present and hidden. We therefore accept a positive responsibility to look, to ask, to train, to require and to act.
In particular, Medpool Ltd commits to supporting good practice in enforcing measures to counter modern slavery provisions through the following specific actions, each of which is detailed in the sections that follow:
✓ | Maintaining and enforcing a published Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy (MDP-ETH-POL-MS-001) covering our operations, supply chain and workforce |
✓ | Conducting annual staff training on modern slavery awareness, with training records maintained for all employees |
✓ | Including modern slavery as a formally assessed risk in our organisational Risk Register, with inherent and residual risk scoring and documented mitigations |
✓ | Embedding modern slavery risk assessment and contractual requirements within our supplier qualification and management processes |
✓ | Publishing this Annual Modern Slavery Statement and making it freely available on the Medpool Ltd website |
✓ | Providing clear reporting channels for any person — employee, supplier or third party — who suspects modern slavery in or around our operations |
✓ | Reviewing and improving our modern slavery prevention measures annually, with this statement updated to reflect progress |
